How to name anything using my custom GPT, the Name•O•Matic.

Step 1: Don't skip the creative brief.
Look, I knew what I was doing when I included a cute, flirty little "Just start spitting names" button, but that was really just for fun. If you actually want the names it spits to pertain to your brand, start with the brief.
If you purchased the NOM Deluxe that includes the Human Hotline, you have a really beefy brief that you can fill out in Google Docs, and copy/paste or upload.
But if you're feeling antsy to just get started, click the "Start with the Creative Brief" button.

For the sake of this tutorial, I tried to skip it and the NOM wouldn't have it...

Bottom line: do what the bot says. Brief it.
Step 2: Answer its follow-up questions
For my example, I told it I was naming a podcast. I imagine it's like Good Hang for entrepreneurs.
It's going to start spitting concepts for your feedback immediately.

Step 3: Explore A-Z Strategies
You can continue conversation with it, or just hit any letter on your keyboard.
I built the strategies so you could ideate with your HUMAN brain before you immediately make the NOM name for you. Because -- as it will remind you -- if you're intending on trademarking your name, you'll have MUCH more success coming up with it on your own.

Step 4: Try different structures
One of my favorite features of the Name•O•Matic! There are 25 to choose from, and they open up a world of possibilities.

Step 5: Ask for the decision-making exercises
You can repeat these steps all day, but at some point you'll have a shortlist and you'll need to decide. At that point, you can ask for decision making help or give it the name you are leaning toward and type: "What would Katie say?"

Step 6: Do your due diligence and run with it!
I've said it before, I'll say it again -- using AI for naming DOES have its limitations. Even my very cool custom bot can hallucinate and create names that are unavailable. It's your responsibility to Google a name, check the USPTO, etc.
The NOM gets you to a shortlist quicker than your human brain working alone. And that's really the whole point!
Don't have the Name•O•Matic yet? This button can fix that!
